Teams Courthouse and FBA-NOVA met to settle the score on a perfect October day in Quincy Park. After Honorable Referee Alston and scorekeeper Chip Molster resolved two-out drama over certain base-running provisions in the Federal Rules of Kickball Procedure, FBA-NOVA slammed the door shut with its defensive prowess.
Under the guidance of Honorable Coaches Nachmanoff and O’Grady, a ragtag band of (physically underqualified) law clerks, (physically overqualified) deputy U.S. Marshals, and the rest of the EDVA courthouse family wrested the trophy back from the overconfident FBA team, futilely helmed by Honorable Coaches Hilton and Anderson.
Thirteen teams made a valiant effort to secure bragging rights for 2020, but only three prevailed.
